Kids Inc. Dictionary
Add-o-lessons (n.) – A spoken line or
lines that deliver the moral of the story in a painfully obvious way. Taken from a
hilarious misinterpretation by Stacy, which led to the insertion of the moral, these lines
seem to be just added into the conversation, because you know kids don’t normally
talk like this. Other common examples are those pharmaceutical commercials where a group
of “friends” talk about the latest drug.
Bifergate (v.) – The division of Stacy Ferguson into both Stacy and
Fergie. (Comes from “bifurcate”, the division of something into two parts or
branches). There is blatant bifergation going on in Poseidon, where
“Stacy” stars and “Fergie” sings. bifergation (n), bifergated
(adj).
C’monologue (n.) – Similar to a sololoquy, a
c’monologue is an inspirational speech given to one character by another. Usually
contains the contraction, “C’mon”. Speaker’s theme music is usually
played throughout.
Cameoblivion (n.) – The state of not having any clue who the celebrity
guest stars are. cameoblivious(adj.)
Dukeplicity (n.) – The quality or state of being obsessed with
identical cousins. Also known as Millsemblance.
Fanalog sound (n.) – An electronic replica of the audience cheering,
added in post-production – because dubbed performances deserve dubbed applause.
Fantagonist (n.) – An evil person whose goal is to get in the way of a
KI fan trying to enjoy the show.
Fantagonize (v.) – To annoy and disrupt those clearly enjoying Kids
Incorporated.
Kangaloon (n.) – One of those big, clear balloons with all the smaller
balloons inside.
Kidtastrophe (n.) – Event that is only traumatic to people under 18
years of age. kidtastrophic (adj.)
LoveShot (n.) – Gratuitous random shot of Love (Robin) for no reason at
all other than to keep the attention of at least 75% of the audience. Similar to and
preceded by the StaceTake.
MultiBilly (n.) – Repeated instances of something used over and over
again, like names. This comes from the repeated use of the name Billy: Billy the Gweeb,
Billy Blaster (even I added a MultiBilly in my fanfic!) multibillys (pl.)
Musickinesis (n.) – The ability to produce music anywhere without any
electronic devices or instruments of any kind. Useful during a sololoquy. musickinetic
(adj.), musickinetically (adv.)
Muzombie (n.) – a member of the audience who sways back and forth in an
unsteady rhythm, with uncoordinated movements, transfixed by something other than the song
they’re supposed to be reacting to.
Nexpository (adj.) – important information given about a character,
after that character has left, by another character that misses them.
Overlaptitude (n.) – the innate ability of a group of people to talk
over one another whenever possible.
Punderstanding(n.) – The condition of grasping the moral of the story
and relaying it in a clichéd way. Usually preceded by the phrase, “You know what
they say…” punderstand (v.), punderstood (past.)
Racy (n.) – the Ryan/Stacy ‘ship (relationship). I hate it, but
it’s everywhere, so I gave it a name.
Rescindication (n.) – the act of the copyright holder taking back the
rights for Kids Incorporated and refusing to lease them to any network. rescindicate
(v.)
Retrograde (v.) – Holding back the older cast members so they can
attend the same school as the younger ones.
Solo Eclipse (n.) – the regularly occurring phenomena where all the
lights on a street or in a building suddenly go out, save for one that conveniently moves
with a character.
Sololoquy (n.) – A soliloquy is a long, often revealing speech
delivered by a character. A sololoquy is a soliloquy set to music, usually accompanied by
a solo eclipse. If it’s inspirational, it’s called a c’monologue.
Songnipotence (n.) – The ability to know the lyrics/melody of any song
being performed around you, thereby giving you the means to join in at any time. songnipotent
(adj.)
StaceTake (n.) - Gratuitous random shot of Stacy for no reason at all other
than to keep the attention of at least 75% of the audience. The most outstanding example
occurs during “Living on a Prayer”. Similar to and soon replaced with the
LoveShot.
Towheadity (n.) – the state of being perpetually blonde. Also known as Cindybradidation.
